Acaim Sicilia plans to create a video lasting approximately ten minutes which will document the dedication and love shown by some Palermo citizens for their territory, after the devastating and uncontrolled fires of July 2023.
The project, entitled "Beyond the Wall" , aims to show the precious wealth of flora and fauna that has been inherited from our ancestors and which is found
beyond that wall. In particular, we are referring to the Bosco Niscemi, located within the former royal estate called Favorita and the "Oriented Natural Reserve of Favorita and Monte Pellegrino" and the ancient wall that separates it from the rest of the city.
A dossier will be drawn up which will document the experience and will include the presentation of various articles published online during these months. This material will form the basis of a popular initiative project to be presented in schools and to citizens, through an event/exhibition that is planned to be held in the spaces of the Cantieri Culturali della Zisa in Palermo. The event is scheduled to launch in late spring or early summer 2024.
